I'm not in Darien, incidentally. I'm at
www.canopytower.com which is only an hour or so outside Panama City but (remarkably) lush rainforest. Amazing country. Just here for the long weekend but hope to come back for a loger and more remote trip. And maybe some mtn biking! :-)
Ahh I have heard of the place but I have not been. If you ever come back and decide to go deep into Darien they have a zip line that goes through the middle of the rainforest that is really fun. And if you are a drinker when you hit the bar ask for a "Seco con leche", good stuff.
