But, out of those options, I would narrow it down to the easton or the psimet. Fact is, psimet uses essentially the same rim and equal (if not better) hubs than soul or williams. In addition, you get the build custom suited to your needs.
Thanks for the advice, I haven't ridden on any of these wheels before, so it's good to know that it's not a noticeable difference. Pending a quote from psimet, the eastons are the cheapest of the them, $399 (after 20% off from performance).
the only reason to go soul is for their 40mm rims.
the 2.0 and 3.0 are very easy to replicate with custom.
that's interesting, I'm going to Singapore later this year. I might go down to their shop to have a first hand look.

I had assumed that with the significant improved rolling resistance going from stock Hutchinson Equinox tires to Conti gp4000s, I would also get similar improvements with a wheel upgrade. But from the posts here and what I've read elsewhere, upgrading from aksiums to any of these sub-$500 wheels is not that noticeable.
