It would be her first road bike. The windsor wellington 3.0 doesn't look too bad, it has a kenesis made aluminum frame with a CF fork. The 2200/sora group probably isn't the greatest but it would be better for her than friction DT shifters. She needs a 47-48cm bike so there aren't very many options in the used market (I've already looked).
I am more than capable of putting the bike together and tuning it, as well as upgrading things if need be.
I've heard the whole "BD is crap" thing but how bad can it be? I mean, I wouldn't buy it for myself because I like vintage bikes, but for something modern with brifters... for a girl...
