I'm thinking in particular of any Chrysler 4 speed FWD in their minivans, but come to think of it, most any of the 3/4 speed slushboxes had their issues over the years.
Of course, I speak only about European market where >75% have manual transmission and 80% are under 2Liter engines. Also almost 50% of automobiles are diesel. Different place, different things.
