Google alerts are extremely useful. I'm not sure I should be letting everyone know about them, because it will arm all of you with a tool so useful that you'll be getting the kinds of deals I've been able to get. I'm not normally possessive, but this is an extremely powerful tool.

A google alert is a service where you get google to send you updates whenever something on the web, in the news media, in newsgroups, etc contains your search terms. So you can put "campagnolo athena derailleur" and you'll see ebay or craigslist listings like that every day. Once you know how, you can refine them to check only specific sites or localities.

I've used google alerts for other things. My father in law is very civicly active, so I have his name in one of my google alerts. Whenever he is in the newspaper, I email him my comment on his activity. He wonders why it is I'm reading newspapers from distant places.

I also used to have a google alert for just my surname, since mine is rather unusual. I learn about what all the different Reingolds whom I'm not related to are doing. But I got tired of it, since they are strangers to me.

Does that help?
