Aren't the low end bikes in Italy made in the same Asian factories as the low end bikes in the USA?
If you want high end, go for a hand-made custom-geometry bike from an artisan frame builder.
Not that you can't find an artisan frame builder in the USA, but at least yours will have an Italian name.
