Well, I can mount it to my bottle cage bolts just fine, but since I require two cages, and the mounting bracket did not fit with the cage even with longer bolts, I decided to mount it on the frame. Either way, about as difficult or time consuming as taking a piss.

You being afraid of co2 cartridges blowing up is quite hilarious. You try to act all tough guy in other threads, and you are afraid of something that has a infinitesimal chance of actually happening, unless you happen to pack the cartridge in with a bunch of thin sharp darts and shake vigorously for hours on end. Not particularly difficult, once you learn that you can't let the entire cartridge empty at one single go at full strength. Inflating a tire in seconds is right handy.
