tell me how shaving weight on a lever makes any sense. a rim has rotational inertia, shaving grams there does count. if you're weight weenie-ing it makes sense because 120 for levers is no big. for the majority of people here building up a ****ing steel ciocc and wanting fancy levers it doesn't make sense to pay an extra 60 for carbon levers for weight.
Something you're not realizing about carbon levers is that they don't get cold the way steel levers do. You'd appreciate this if you rode in the cold weather frequently. My Tektro levers get downright icy when it's cold, even on days when its not quite chilly enough to put on the whole "cold weather" outfit. If they made the R100 with caarbon levers I'd buy it.
