Ok, in comparison to some of you here, this is peanuts, but today I rode the farthest since I've gotten back in the saddle. Today's ride was 8.6 miles, most of which is on the Pacific Electric Bike Trail, one of the trails that Rails to Trails Conservancy has helped to create.
Currently the trail ends less than a mile from my home, so I rode the trail from the end to the opposite end of the trail (at least for now). The trail is still being constructed, so it's not done, but the part I rode is just about done and made for an enjoyable ride. I'm hoping as the trail is expanded upon that my fitness level will go up proportionately.
I do need to get a couple items to make my rides more enjoyable: shoes and shorts. :|
Right now I'm working on doing double digits.
