We will be exploring that tomorrow... the stock coaster brake (Shimano) was terrible and actually self destructed (twice) and the fixed plus brake works pretty well when the bike is unloaded.

It is not designed for high speeds but I did get it up to some good speeds today to test the braking...the gearing is of course, also very low.
