I'm doing great. Memorial Day weekend, I did the 56 miles as mentioned and then rode the 32-ish mile club ride on Sunday. On Monday, I rode an easy 10 miles with my daughter, stopping for a smoothie and enjoying the ride.
This past weekend, I did 63 miles on Saturday (training plan called for a 4 hour ride; I stretched it to 5) and then rode the club ride yesterday about 30 miles. All in all, I'm feeling fine. I'm really slow on the hills, even small ones, and then a little slow on flats. I think that will improve with weight loss, so I'm continuing to ride. My training plan calls for a 4.5 hour ride this Saturday and then rest on Sunday, so I'm going to join some friends and ride part of the MS150 route on Saturday. I think it will help to see most of the route in advance. We plan to ride about 60-ish miles again.
My weight is slowly dropping, about 3-4 lbs. per week, and I feel really good. Funny thing is, my appetite is starting to diminish and I'm not so famished after the rides. That's a welcome change.
