Another pleasant commute this morning. I left 15 minutes early, and it seemed like there were no cars on the road! It's amazing the difference 15 minutes makes; I should do that more often.
Went to the LBS yesterday; thinking about making the jump from my hybrid to a "real" road bike. Tried out a 2001 LeMond Tourmalet, which seems like a great bike. I'll go back Wednesday when they can do a "fit kit" for me and try out a few others.
I'm wondering if I'll have problems on my commute with a road bike's tires. There are three roads I go on that are in terrible shape; it's almost like riding offroad on rocky trails. Also, there is one dirt path I ride on that's about 100 yards long. Any advice on how to handle these areas on a road bike?
