I may start carrying a chain tool. Where is the conflict on a touring bike? They guy who helped me is an engineer (the whole office is). If you sent me your specs, I could run it by him as a 'pay it forward' to someone who is need and see if he has any ides, and who knows, maybe even initiate change :-)
