I have 9 bikes, 7 are steel, a aluminum and a carbon bike. I like all of them, the aluminum seems a little harsher and the carbon feels real smooth but I can't really tell much difference. I know that I don't like to ride the aluminum as much but I don't like straight handlebar style bikes so I don't ride the steel MTB or the aluminum hybrid. My favorite rides are a steel eisentraut tt bike, giant cf road bike and Masi steel road bike. I have been logging more miles on a Jamis Aurora Elite but that is the one that I am taking touring next week.
