I hate to bring it all back to BMX, but racing with the over 30 crowd, it's pretty damn "Real". Granted, you have to be pretty damn good to get the full sponsorship, but having all that at your disposal changes things. Kind of like the difference between gridiron players and footy players. In the US, the lowest paid guy on a pro team has no day job. Not quite like out here.
I reckon we need a race over here. You'd have to buy your bike locally, and you get no support. Get a flat? Fix it yourself, buddy! That would weed out the weak ones in the pack.
Was the rcae today one of those cobblestone courses?
