Well this it more than over due. Last night we went out for the Ft. Lauderdale Urban ride at 6:30 PM. It was out first organized ride since my stoker fractured a bone in her foot in Dec. And even prior to that we were quite erratic due to my grandson's (grandson - alternate stoker) condition.

Notice the carefully crafted "aero-belly." As captain, I work diligently to avoid the flat belly/ripped abs which are known to create all kinds of speed spoiling aerodynamic turbulence. The stoker in the wind protected position is able to "let go" and have a flat ripped abs without the detrimental turbulence effect.
This was a fairly easy but kinda "technical" ride on a tandem. There was a fair about of sidewalk riding, and some boardwalk. Several places we had to dismount and "portage" to a safe tandem riding place a few yards away.
Here we are at the first rest stop on the boardwalk. It was a few minuets later we found we had flat. Thanks to Ernie the sweep in the yellow jersey who stayed with us and made sure we didn't get dropped or lost.
