I had a good ride last Thursday. It was hot at first, but cool down (evening ride). We did 34 miles at a B-, social pace. The ride is normally 25 miles, but we included a lap around a mountain. There's a nice 500 foot climb spread over a mile or two where we like to see who can drop who. I take off halfway through the climb and blow past. Manage to drop the pack (about ten guys/gal) except for one guy who holds on my tail.
At the end of the ride the slower group (doing the 25 mile ride) came in about 5 minutes afterwards. We shared stories, talked about current issues, and drank beer.
