Just buy a set of cleats, and you're good (they come with the 3 bolt adapter). You'll have to replace the cleats sometime anyway, and you'll have a backup.
it says in the instructions you should never use old hardware.... does the hardware tend to actually get beat up or is that just one of those things in the instructions to keep lawyers happy
