Well, the ride home wasn't very enjoyable. I made it about 4.5 miles before the crank arm for on of my pedals broke off. I had bought a Topeak Alien II Multi-tool to bring with me for this sort of thing, but it didn't have the right sized allen wrench on it for the bolt. The bike has less than 100 miles on it too, so I was pretty disappointed something like this would happen already. I had to catch a ride the rest of the way home on my first day of commuting

Things will get better. It takes a while to dial in the equipment, make sure the bike is sound mechanically and a few others things (like... what you need to do to be safe on your route...). Just bear with the initial few bumps in the road and you'll undoubtedly find it super fun!
