Actually it's rather amazing to me that a place as bucolic as Chester isn't farther away from the largest city in North America.
I know this will surprise most people, but if you go on the right roads into south Knoxville, you can be out riding in the open countryside just a few miles from downtown.
If you got dropped in from a spaceship you would have a hard believing that you are so close to such a major urban center.
