t, they are not symmetrical. It gives you a binary option of float. If you mount the dot on your left, you get X float. Mount it on the right, your get Y. I can't remember what exactly X and Y are and whether dot on left is more or less, but it is easily found once you know to look for it.
I've consistently heard the Pro Float crowd tout the Speedplay frogs. This is the first plug I've heard for Crank Bros based on float, but then I need to get out more anyway.
