Today I purchased The 2010 Trek 7.7 Fx. My LBS is having it shipped in from Trek HQ and I should have it by this coming Thursday, June 17. After reading this entire thread in one sitting I feel good (Perhaps better) with my decision as I really had my heart set on the carbon 7.9 Fx model. I decided to go with the 7.7 instead of the 7.9 because we were purchasing two bikes today and by me dropping down to a lower model and saving the $600 it allowed my wife to get a better bike. She got the 7.5 Fx in the stealthy black and red. I'm really going to be curious to feel first hand the differences in the 7.5 and the 7.7 since I'll have them side by side at any given moment. I still would like to hear if anyone regrets not getting the 7.9 and instead opted for the 7.7fx
