I'd still report him for deliberately misrepresenting his product and copyright infringement. It's a sad day when getting what you want negates the fact that you conducted yourself terribly. It's not surprising that he politely bowed out only NOW, after he got his hundred bucks. Until then, he told everybody they were wrong.
