I haven't ridden the part from Lewiston down to New Meadows in 30 years, but I rode most of the route from McCall to Boise last summer. I didn't do camping, but it was a great ride. Traffic wasn't bad at all. There are only so many ways to get there anyway The prettiest part was the ride along the river from Cascade to Banks.
