I agree with others buy replace your contact points .. since your saddle is not comfortable replace it with something you find comfy... go to your lbs and see if they can measure you for a saddle or have a demo program.. some places do some do not
also invest in some quality bibs I personally love Sugoi RS Flex bibs which are about 150.00 retail but their might be better deals on ebay or online. Then again there are cheaper bibs that are comfy I just love my Rs Flex bibs.
for tracking your progress a Garmin is nice i own a 705 and love it but you can really get away with a basic Heart rate monitor starting out especially if you run or do other sports. My Polar F6 was great for getting started gave me all the details I needed except for lap by lap break downs which would have been nice.. but I had avg , min and max heart rate and could set target zones for workouts.
shoes and pedals are also good as other have mentioned
