London, Englandville. Dateline 16th June, 2010.
"World and Olympic Champion track star Victoria Pendleton has joined members of the All Parliamentary Cycling Group and other dignitaries on a bike ride around Westminster ahead of Bike Week, which starts tomorrow, and the jaunt was captured in a short film by Carlton Reid, the man behind the I Pay Road Tax campaign, among other projects."
Among those taking part in the ride was the Mayor of London’s Director of Transport, Kulveer Ranger, on one of the bikes from the soon-to-be-launched Barclays Cycle Hire Scheme, resplendent with the bank’s livery on its rear side panels. Contains annoying pictures of Br*mpt*ns and horrible tinkly Balti Restaurant music. London's Bike Cops on MTB's doing a grand job are visible at the front of the throng. Worth it mostly for a look at Ms Pendleton, who does for cycling what buns do for bears.
