Hi All,
I'm just taking advantage of the introduction thread to see who all is out there. I've always loved riding my bike, but am in no way a bicycle buff. I haven't ridden far, don't have fancy gear, and am not so good with fixing bikes.
But I'd like to learn more, and get more into this whole cycling thing. I guess I will have to, because in September I'm riding from Seattle to Los Angeles. It's something I've always wanted to do, and despite being a novice, I'm diving in. I know I'll figure much of it out along the way, but I'd like to connect with people here who have done similar tours and see what advice I can get before heading out. We'll be documenting our ride and raising money for an immigrant/refugee shelter for women if you want to take a look:
