Limit to Super Sport's tire size is the chainstays width, you'll have around 42mm to fit the tire, 33~35mm actual tire width is close to the limit with 5mm per side clearance. I don't have Honjos, but 45mm Planet Bike or SKS are as big a fender as I am able to fit. The front fork and rear chainstays are limiting the max fender width.
