Things that I have noticed about my 2010, 7.7fx over my wife's 7.5 fx are subtle. The shifting from the Shimano 105 is ultra-smooth. The biker is lighter, the rims and tires are thinner and are much faster and the brakes are of a better caliber. There is more carbon and the bike is smoother over bumps due to the damper on the back. Despite what these roadies are saying about these bikes not being able to hang, I AM ABLE to hang when I am on the bike path.
