Installing a headset without a press is not going to be easy, and the fact you have to ask if you can install it tell me maybe you should not - don't even know if the headset is truly "appropriate."

If you are calling the mounting parts for a crankset "nuts and bolts" I wonder how much you have read about proper installation, and whether the BB is even properly installed.
