I used the saddle bag type Sunlite panniers for 4 years of touring. Only trouble I had with them was the rather flimsy bungie cord/hook combo that failed early on. Not really essential to securing the panniers, so no big deal. I liked the mounting simplicity of the saddle bag design, their relatively light weight, and the strong zippers. Good value for the money. Replaced them recently with larger, heavier Axioms that included water proof covers.
