Running is good if you don't have a lot of time to work out. A half hour of running feels about the same as an hour at a decent pace on a bike. It works different groups of muscles it seems to than biking. I used to run a lot in HS and College but it just beat the crud out of my knees and ankles after a while. Plus zipping around on a bike just seems more fun.
