i was out riding the other night by myself and i saw a guy up ahead on what appeared from a distance to be a step ladder with wheels. i decided to get closer and realized it was a gent who must have stood ~ 6'8" on a custom frame. i am just shy of 6'3" and ride a 62cm frame, but i nevertheless felt dwarfed. as i got within 20' or so, i could feel the beginning of his wind shadow- i don't recall ever experiencing draft from that far out- and by the time i was on his wheel, i was freewheeling effortlessly at 20mph. it was phenomenal....
