Do yourself a favour and learn to patch a tube properly. Everyone seems to just put a new tube in these days but then what happens when you get a second puncture? Get self adhesive patches and learn to use them, they are often quicker than replacing a tube, especially if you can easily locate the puncture by looking at the tire. You often dont even need to remove the tire or whjeel to fit them. And yes they are perfectly reliable.
All this replacing tubes is silly, why spend out on a $10 tube when a 10c patch will do the job and do it quicker? New tubes are good when its wet or you have damaged the valve or a rip in the tube that is too big to fix. Otherwise do yourslef a favour and patch, 99% of punctures can be patched perfectly well. I am amazed by how many "cyclists" dont know what to do with a patch kit.
For the record I have never ever had a patch fail....at any pressure
