June is "bike to work month" in Geneva and the city has set up a "bicycle commuting contest" with prizes. Over 50,000 people are participating this year. My company has 4 teams of commuters and there's some friendly in-house rivalry over which team will ride the most. As an American living abroad, I still think in miles, so my goal is to break 1000 miles (1609 km). I have 911 commuting miles so far in June with 3 days left, so I should be able do it. Come July, though, it'll be a different story. I have 2 conferences coming up with overnight travel so I'll miss a few days, then I'll be going on vacation for a couple weeks near the end of the month.
