For some injuries, riding can be therapeutic. The problem is that if you ride daily and you have an injury, there's always a good chance your persistent riding motion is a factor that caused or exacerbated the condition. This is particularly true with conditions like patellar tendonitis (the injury that will sideline Boonen from the Tour de France this year) and similar repetitive stress injuries.
