Eh, I have found that rot-a-fixing will work better than any chainwhip (for reasons defined by physics).

With that, lock-ring tools really do not need to be that long, as you don't want to risk over tightening and stripping off the lock-ring threads. I personally use a PEDRO's Trixie tool for a lock-ring tool.
