I filled a couple of packs this weekend. But, the first was a men's race, and the second was a women's open crit, so I feel pretty good about it. Also my teammate won the crit (no thanks to me), so that was fun.
During the men's race on Saturday, one of my teammates from the men's team asked how many laps the women were doing. I told him there wasn't a separate women's race, so we were just there for training and hanging on for as long as we could. He then asked me to give him a leadout at the end! While I would have been happy to do so, and appreciate that he thought I might be strong enough to even attempt such a thing, the idea of me even being there at the end of a race like that, let alone being fast/aggressive enough to give a leadout is fairly absurd; those men's races are like motorpacing for me.
In for more packfill duties at the men's race on Tuesday night.
