BBB Stem Extender

The guy at the bike shop cut my fork a bit too short on my LHT due to a language barrier (I'm in Korea) I have been making due with a very short 70 mm stem with a 35 degree rise that works pretty well. I would still like the cockpit to be a little closer to me though. Its possible that I just need a smaller size frame and that I may just need to either get used to it or go down to a size 50 frame. However, thats expensive.

I am wondering if I used a stem extender like this if it will be able to bring the bars further towards me because of the angle on the steerer tube. This in combination with flat and short stem maybe enough to get the bars just a little closer in to me.

Is this a piper dream or should I try it? I am pretty comfortable on the bike up to about four or five hours. Then my arms get tired and sometimes my upper back is a little sore later. This could just be that you can not spend that much time in ANY riding position without being a little soar or it could be that my top tube is a little long. I am not sure. I can post pictures of my riding position if you think that would help diagnose the problem?

Here is a link to the stem extender:http://www.rei.com/product/804413?pr...:referralID=NA

It looks A LOT nicer than the clamp on ones that I have used before. Are the clamp on ones better for some reason other than just being a little easier to install?

Thanks for the help guys, as always its super appreciated.
