Manhattan Beach GP CAT 4

I hadn't raced or trained in a while so I wasn't sure what to expect. Due to the nightmare that is parking in a beach town, I decided to ride down to the race at 5:30AM with a teammate. Plan was to arrive at about 6:30 and be racing at 7 but we got there about 6:10 leaving me just enough time to cool down and need to warm back up. I had good starting position at the line (shocker) and was feeling ok. Not 100% but not too bad either. The race began and within the first 3 laps I managed to work my way to the back third of the field. Go Rob. I hung in there though and decided to just settle for a pack finish. Last lap some people overlapped wheels (I think) and managed to crash going uphill on a straight 7% grade. It was the last place I expected to see a crash. Finished 49/70 or so. Hung for a couple more races, then rode home.

Cheers

Rob
