I have a 60 cm Surly LHT with 26 inch wheels. So there is a lot of space between tire and chain stay bridge/seat stay bridge.

The GILLES BERTHOUD FENDERS don't come with any hardware or drilling for attaching to the seat stay. But they need to be attached at that point. Simply attaching at the Chain stay bridge and the struts running to the dropouts is not adequate.

I copied a scheme for schiming out the attachment hardware that attaches the fender to the fork crown and the chainstay bridge. But I haven't found a good idea that will work for a bracket to run from the seat stay bridge and the fender.

I need a bracket that will bridge a gap of about 1.25 inches between the fender and the seat stay. I looked at a bracket at velo orange, but it was not quite long enough. Any ideas?
