Thanks for the response. I followed the Shimano installation instructions.

1)Set the hight from the chainring (one penny)
2)Set low adjustment
3) Connect the cable
4) Set top adjustment
5) Adjust cable tension

Except for the 34 front 28 rear combination the shift is fast and crisp with no FD rub in any other gear combinations. The shifting to the 34 front 28 rear gears also works fine but the only way I can keep the chain on the front 34 chainring is to use the FD to guide it. If I adjust the low to the point the chain doesn't rub the FD the chain pops off within a few peddles and falls to the inside.

Any suggestions would be great.
