Well, it's disassembled and fairly clean. I forgot to mention the NR RD is Pat. 72, so I suppose it stands to reason the frame was built earlier (or maybe not?).

I plan to sell or trade this frame, and I have a decision to make. My original idea was to include the extant components with the frame given the fact these bikes were completely built up at the Masi shop. On the other hand, perusing the Wool Jersey galleries, it appears quite common for Masi owners to respray their acquisitions with some very expensive looking paint. While the components I have are in very good condition, there are some corrosion issues (however minor) on many of the chromed steel surfaces, and I find it hard to imagine someone would hang these on a professionally repainted frame. I would think they'd be more happy with mint or NOS components.

On the other hand, I can see how someone could stabilize the minor rust on the frame, address the fork crown, and be very happy with the original components. That would be the route I would choose. But how likely is this? Does Wool Jersey only represent a small segment of the VLW collector community, the sort that would undertake a complete restoration?

Opinions?
