I have heard of the snaping lever before, but honestly with this kind of thing if it were common I would personally know at least a few who have experienced it themselves and as of now I do not. As for them lasting 6 months.....I have ridden and raced mine for about 18 months with no issues. I personally know 20+ other riders with the same amount of time on them with no issues.

Not saying it doesn't happen, but definitely the exception - not the norm. If particular individuals continue to experience similar failures I would venture a guess that their use or application must increase the odds of a failure happening. I would suggest to them that in their specific case it looks like they should switch to something else. The rest of us regular humans should be fine.
