OK, I've adjusted an existing RD many times with my bike. I'm helping my neighbour to install a new RD.
For the life of me, I don't know where to start. Reading the shimano 105 manual, it really doesn't tell you where to begin. I got the H limit screw to align the guide pulley under the outtest cog. However I can't seem to align the guide pulley to align under the inner most largest cog with the L screw.

Should I perform this without the cable attached?
