I get jostled pretty dramatically (bumpy as f**k) on certain patches of my commute and it sounds like these tires offer a dramatically improved ride. Will buying the GP 4000s really help solve this issue, or is the ride quality improved more in terms of grip and handling only?
grip, rolling resistance and ride quality will be better.

But just so it's clear, tire width and inflation pressure makes the biggest difference in comfort over bumpy terrain.

gatorskin is better for durability, but it's at the cost of ride quality and rolling resistance.
