most 1/2 drives will be out of the ranges used in bicycles. usually 30ft lb for the low. you will need another 3/8 model for bbs, wheel nuts, cranks. a 15-75 ftlb or 20-100 ft lb model will be fine. the one you bought will be fine for stems and pinch bolts. remember slow and smooth application of hand pressure when using the wrench. jerking the wrench will give a false result.
