What do you guys think of these on fixed gears? Currently my handle bar is not wide enough for me (I need 44cm and I have a 36cm) which leaves me feeling compressed and it stresses my back a lot. So I looked online for round road drop bars with my specs and they all seem too shiny to put bar tape on or more expensive than what my LBS stocks, plus I don't want to wait a week for a new handle bar to arrive because my back really needs it now. I once read someone here call a bike fugly because it had ergo road drops and I wonder if this is a general opinion on SSFG.

1) Why ask the internet what we think?
2) Would you feel bad riding "road" rims, spokes, tubes, or tires?
3) What feels and fits better will make you a better rider.
4) If it makes you feel any better,
6-day Madison racers use road bars and even ergo road bars.
