Hope they recover fully. I was hit by a pickup truck from behind on the 29th of May. Go back to the Dr. on the 22nd of July to see about removing my back brace. I was lucky that nothing was a major break. 4 compression fractures in the back, 3 ribs and my sternum.

I still am dealing with fears of getting back on the road but don't want what happened to me to prevent me from doing something I enjoy. The driver of the pickup that hit me was 82.
