What kinds of riders do that if your saying I should stick with a same kind of set? Experienced riders?

Actually that's not what he meant at all. He was talking about what works best for offroad speed where it's not uncommon to run a skinnier less agressive tread in the back for faster rolling and a wider more aggressive tire up front for better control at higher speeds.

I'm suggesting that you stick with sets of tires due to all the little variables involved it's more than what you really need to get into when you're just starting out.
